[Henry glances to Mahad again, closing his eyes for a moment before turning a soft, if still somewhat wounded, smile to him.]

Helping me keep my spirits up. And... being a friend that I can count on even at the worst of times. If nothing else... this place truly tested that.

[He reaches out under the table to pat Henry on his back, careful not to be seen doing it - though more for Henry's sake than his own. He's sure the man isn't too keen on showing vulnerabilities even to people like Yugi.]

There are many things in this world that are useless, and many more that are troublesome. There's little enough a man can truly rely on.

But I can always rely on you.

That's why I will do my best to always be someone you can rely on. You... and Christopher... and whatever family you decide to build, either here or when we return home.

There's no need for thanks for something like that. But I'll accept them anyway... if you'll accept mine.

[The words cause a wide smile to cross his face and he nods softly, looking truly content for a moment. Jack...]

For as long as I ever have a say, you will always be able to rely on me. And... thank you, again. Even if there's no need, it comforts me to give it... and to hear it. I'll gladly accept yours as well.

[Henry leaves it at that, but he looks even more relaxed than he was, taking the tea to drink it lazily. There's a soft murmur, not meant for any ears but his own, but if the other man listens, he might be able to catch a reference to something being a "true gift from God."]

[Feeling truly contented, he sips at his tea slowly. The hot fluid burns his mouth a little, but he doesn't mind. Though being the only one eating here is a little annoying, so he'll just steal one of Henry's sausages.]

[Henry quirks an eyebrow at that, suppressing some laughter as he playfully tries to move his plate away.]

What? Shouldn't a noble king offer some kindness to his subjects?

[He's playfully pretending to go for his bacon now.]

Only when his subjects are actually hungry, not stealing off his plate!

[He moves the plate in a pretend dodge, though Jack can still snag the bacon if he really does want it.]

[He holds his hands up in mock-surrender.]

Alas, it seems you have bested me!

[...it has less effect when that sausage is currently poking out of his mouth, having been held there in favour of keeping his surrender-gesture more realistic.]

[Henry can't help laughing at that, moving his plate back over so Jack can snatch some more off it if he pleases.]

You really should teach me how to make this. At least without it being more of a weapon than food.

It's pretty simple food. Even you should be able to manage to make it.

[Okay hold on he needs to finish off this sausage before he can continue.]

I'll teach you. I'd worry too much about you poisoning yourself if you ever had to cook for yourself, so it'd be good for you to at least learn simple things.

Why, would you be jealous if I did? After all, you have my undivided attention here!

But that would mean finding a girl prettier than you! That's not easy.

[Yeah, you hold that face, Henry. He knows you're trying not to laugh.]

[Okay he can't at that, he just can't. Henry bursts out into laughter, getting Yugi's attention as he has to lean on the table.]

Jack! [snrkgiggleohgod hold on just... wait a moment.

Okay. Okay. Breathing.]

I'd hardly think that would be something difficult! I'm not exactly that pretty.

Oh, I don't know... find a dress, stick a couple of grapefruits in there, you might get a few men eyeing you... Have to do something about your hair, though.

[His grin can only be described as "evil" right now.]

And I'd not advise any slow dances.

[And Henry can barely breathe for the laughter, shaking his head and leaning on his hand as the table shakes. It takes him a good minute or two before he can for ma reply.]

Should I ask why you've thought on this?

[And the tables are successfully turned; Jack may not be flailing outwardly, but he sure is inwardly.]

...eh? I just thought of it right now!

Really? There seems to be a level to detail you had that suggests otherwise! Were you entertaining some... interesting imaginings for a while, Jack?

Ah- Well- [Shit, what does he say? No could be taken as insulting, and probably isn't true - his mind is an interesting place - but yes opens up the realm to more teasing and augh.]

Don't screw with me! Not that you wouldn't make a nice - if muscular - girl, but I think I prefer you as a man!

[Henry can't help but laugh more at that, smiling and reaching over to pat Jack on the shoulder.]

And I you, Jack... even if you would make a prettier woman.
